Critical Care Unit referes to a place where specialized treatment is given to patient's who are actually unwell and need special attention and support. It provides critical care and life support for acutely ill and injured patients.
Critical Care Unit patient's are monitored and treated by critical care team which include critical care specialised (intensivist),resident doctors,nurses,respiratory therepist, etc.Other staff at critical care includes dieticians,physiotherapist, clinical pharmacists,various procedures like endotracheal intubation , central venous catheterization,arterial cannulation ,bronchoscopy, lumbar puncture,chest tube thoracostomy and percutaneous tracheostomy are performed by the intensivist.
Many of these sick patients require life support systems like invasive and non-invasive ventilation.
Critical Care ICU at Jivisha Medical Centre have the vision for patient centric approach in our treatment and care.
